### PROTOTYPE BUILD v0.01 ###

Welcome To The Fog; You are dropped into an unknown world where you may only move from tile to tile.

The rules of the world are unclear, as you must figure them out for yourself to ensure you correctly make your way toward the end of the Fog.

Here's the problem. As you move away from town, a timer appears, denoting how many steps you have left before running out...

As a Player, you're special. You won't perish from running out of time, so use that to your advantage.

Figure out the rules of this new world and find your place in a large-scaled puzzle, but most importantly, figure out how to get out.

- Concept Previously Known as Inevitable -

Current Build Content:

  1.  Various Patrol Enemies Wandering the Map ready to engage in Turn-Based Battle
  2.  3 separate semi-distinct maze-like puzzle areas to explore
  3.  4 NPCs Total with Unique Interactions and Varying Importance
  4.  Multiple Red Herrings (Trying my best to Geometry my way to only having one/two accessible pathways for players between checkpoints)
  5.  One Quest to Complete
  6.  One Prototype Build to Finish (I very haphazardly threw together an End Sequence for anyone who completes this Build)
  7. Temporary TileSet designs (Inspirations Listed in Credits within the Game)
    1. Attempting minimalist 90s Neon color palette for consistent aesthetics
    2.  Lightly designed for visual appeal : that being said I only have one "red rock" so, yeah.

---------------------------

  1. No Music or Sound Design : Would add SFX and BGM but I can't tell how else I want to present the game in full yet outside the gameplay and initial color palette
  2. Enemy collision can happen in two instances:
    1. Hint: Always be one step ahead, never a step behind.
  3. No Sophisticated Animated Sprite Work (all idle frames; no more than like 2-7 for all sprites)

Future Plans and Implementation Ideas for Later Builds will be talked about in a Reflection DevLog at the end of the Week.

Spent ~3 Weeks and ~60 Hours implementing and designing the initial concept, and current build of this project for a "Games Prototype" Class at University.

I'm still learning a ton about Game Dev, so a lot of the work I did on this project was fairly new to me, and a great learning experience overall;

I'm always happy to hear any criticism or feedback on the concept or build -

Thank you for your time <3!
